Description

Replacement Heel Captivator for Renegade Viper Hoof Boot. This includes the liner of the Viper heel captivators as the liners are bonded to the captivator in-factory, and the lined captivator is sold as one piece.

Sold individually. Viper Pulley buttons and Pastern straps not included and are sold separately.

 Captivator Size  Boot Size(s)
 Viper B  120x110, 125x115
 Viper D  125x120, 125x125, 130x120, 130x130, 135x125, 135x130, 135x135,   140x130, 140x135, 140x140, 145x135,145x145
 Viper F  150x150

Easy to change - you just need a Phillips head screwdriver (and possibly a pair of pliers, if the Pulley Button rotates while you are removing the screw).

Please Note: Some of the older Viper heel captivators (in particular, size B heel captivators) may have had a 1st Generation Pulley Button, and this is slightly different to the current 2nd Generation Viper Pulley Button. We do have some of the 1st Generation Pulley Buttons in stock - please contact us on sales@hoofbootique.co.uk if you aren't sure which version you require.

You can determine exactly which generation Viper pulley is compatible by measuring the hole diameter in the captivator, where 11.1mm (or 7/16" - almost a half inch) hole needs 1st Generation and 7.14mm (or 9/32" - a little more than a quarter inch) needs 2nd Generation.

How wonderful to be able to buy components. Fitted easily and was provided a direct link to order so I did not have to trawl through the site.

    RENEGADE VIPER HEEL CAPTIVATOR

I love that it is possible to purchase component parts for these boots, and while this part is generally hard wearing I find that the pastern strap loop is its weak point and frequently breaks (hinds, as my horse moves quite close). I would like to see them a bit more sturdy.
