Description

A Pair of Comfort Pads from Easycare (made from EVA foam).

The Easyboot Comfort Pad can be used with ALL makes and models of Hoof Boots!

EasyCare comfort pads increase solar support so that all horses, sound or unsound, are encouraged to move correctly. They can also be used to improve the fit of a hoof boot. Use them in hoof boots to help transition a horse from shod to barefoot, or as an aid in the treatment of laminitis, navicular and other hoof ailments.
  • The Comfort Pad is a flat pad designed to increase comfort and reduce concussion, meaning all horses - sound or unsound - are encouraged to move correctly.
  • The pads can also be a useful tool to improve the fit of a boot.
  • The pads will provide cushioning, additional protection and shock absorption to the hoof as well as support to the frog.
  • They are an excellent aid in transitioning a horse from shod to barefoot, and exercise both the internal and external structures of the hoof to help build a stronger hoof capsule.
Comfort Pads are available three densities: Soft, Medium and Firm.
  • Soft (Green) are ideal for very sore light-weight horses, or as the top pad in a stack if required.
  • Medium (Black) is the most popular density as it offers resistance coupled with a good amount of give.
  • Firm (Red) is useful to lift the hoof up if the heel is short or the hoof sits too low in a boot. The Firm pads are also good for use with horses who are heavy on pads, providing the same support as the Medium density pad for a more light-weight horse.
Comfort Pads are available in two thicknesses: 6mm and 12mm. They are approximately 25cm wide x25cm long in size.
  • 6mm is ideal for everyday use, or to stack in any density combination to alter the fit of a boot if the heels are very short or if the hoof sits too low in the boot.
  • 12mm is a brilliant pad to help encourage a hoof to strengthen and improve, a Soft or Medium 12mm is usually the best pad to use on a transitioning horse - the more footsore the horse, the softer the pad required.
EasyCare Comfort Pads must be cut to size.

    TIPS FOR CUTTING NEW PADS:

If you are replacing a pad which still had a good shape you can use this as a template to draw around onto the new pad. Alternatively you can make your own template following these steps:

    1. Take some tin foil about twice the length of your boot.
    2. Fold the foil in half.
    3. Place the foil inside your boot and scrunch down the edges of the foil up against the inside of the boot around the sole.
    4. Carefully remove the foil and place onto your new pad and trace around the edges.
    5. Cut as normal keeping to the inside of your traced line.

I bought the medium pads in n 12mm and 6mm thickness. The boots are now snug with the 12mm pads and my pony has her confidence back in walking on gravelly tracks since I took her barefoot. Thank you again for your help and suggestions Liz! 5 star service throughout, Im glad I found this website :)

      Easy care comfort pads

Published by Kas Slater on 11th Jun 2020

Great pads, really feel like they give good support to the horse only thing I would have liked was some more information on how the heel grip works once the boots have the comfort pads in, but my horse seems happy in them and I think I have got it right. Hi Kas, thank you for taking the time to leave this review. I think the heel grip you talk about must be from the Easyboot Epic model, so the pad should sit under the grip. This does not apply to most other hoof boots. The Hoof Bootique Team.
