Cavallo Entry Level Boot (ELB) Combines quality and affordabilty.

  • Great for those new to barefoot looking for hoof boots.
  • Brilliant for rehabilition and therapeutic purposes.

The Cavallo ELB Regular Sole Hoof Boot. For those still “nervous” about making the shift to becoming ‘barefoot and booted’, and those who are already barefoot but require protection only on limited occasions, the Entry Level Boot is the perfect solution. The ELB is also ideal for rehabilitation and therapeutic purposes, and it makes an excellent ‘spare tyre’ for a lost shoe.

The ELB upper material is our 1680 count Denier industrial grade nylon – the same material used on our Sport style hoof boots, which have been ‘tried and tested’ in all terrains since 2008. The replaceable Velcro closure extends the working life of the ELB in the event of Velcro fatigue. Easily fastened by 8 and 80 year-olds alike, the strap does not require a screwdriver, extra physical strength or any other tools. The ELB is offered on both Cavallo’s soles – our Regular Sole, (length and width equal) and our Slim Sole ( width is ¼” or 5mm narrower than length). Both soles incorporate the unique, built in side drainage slots – which drain mud, water and sand easily and will not clog up.

The Trek and ELB (Entry Level Boots) are the best choices for finer-boned horses. Both styles have a unique front-closure system that allows for an extra-snug fit on the upper portion of the boot – creating a very secure fit.

On a finer-boned animal, the wrap-around Velcro closures can be drawn to the front on an angle downward when the boot is being fastened, creating an almost “V” neck at the boot collar, and tightening the fit.

Key features:

  • 1680 count denier industrial grade nylon
  • Easy on - Stay on
  • Replaceable Velcro closure
  • Soft foam collar
  • Fits right or left hoof
  • Reflective logo for safety
  • Available individually - can fit right or left hoof
  • Sold as singles so an ideal boot to have if you lose a shoe.
  • Available in 7 sizes ( 0 – 6 )

The amount of grip will change if the surface is wet. Always consider safety for horse and rider regarding wet/dry surfaces.

    My last hope!

Published by Kiki Maurey on 26th Mar 2024

I bought these as my very sore-footed horse is losing his Scoot Boots in this winter's deep mud. They work really well even though they get heavy with mud, however the velcro strap and fastenings are hopeless in our UK climate. Within minutes the velcro failed leaving the boots gaping open and prone to coming off. It doesn't help that there are keepers on the velcro straps, so I've innovated by creating keepers from plaiting bands that work really well. I really do think that Cavallo should be putting warning notices for UK purchasers that the velcro straps should be replaced by Cavallo straps. I've now swapped the velcro straps for leather ones but the leather is of poor quality considering the hefty price, so I've made my own - just in case - from a leg strap and very cheap buckles from China. - Hi Kiki, Thank you for leaving this review, I am sorry that you were unhappy with the velcro fastenings. This is not an issue that has come up frequently, but I will pass your feedback directly to Cavallo. We do sell a hook and loop brush to help keep velcro clean: https://hoofbootique.co.uk/woof-wear-hook-loop-cleaner-brush/ Many thanks, The Hoof Bootique Team

    New location

Published by Cheryl North on 2nd Aug 2021

These have been great on the hinds combined with other boots on the fores for our slightly lami very sensitive pony after moving from the midlands to Devon and finding that we were doing a lot more roadwork including all the gravelly bits that seem a feature of these roads! Without his boots he will not trot on the roads.

    Cavallo entry level boot

Published by Sam Peek on 5th Jan 2021

Having previously bought the Cavallo cute little boot for my Welsh section A and found them very easy to use, I have purchased these for my Highland for roadwork. She seems happy and comfortable in them, they are easy to fit, adjust and clean and are lightweight. No rubs, movement or any other problems. A great boot for the price. Great service from the Hoof Bootique again- thank you.
