SoleDry Hoof Powder FAQ
A little goes a long way. SoleDry generally recommend using 1–3 scoops, depending on the size of the hoof and boot setup. Using too much powder can create excess build-up inside the boot and may affect the fit.
Yes, SoleDry can be used alongside felt pads. We’ve found it works especially well with our own Felt Pads, which have excellent wicking properties to help draw moisture away from the hoof and keep it dry inside the boot. For best results, sprinkle SoleDry across the pad and around the heel area before fitting the boot.
A light application may work well under pastern wraps, particularly where neoprene wraps are trapping sweat and moisture. The powder can help keep the area drier and reduce friction. We recommend using only a small amount so the skin can still breathe.
As with any new product, patch testing first and checking the skin daily is advised to ensure the area remains comfortable and irritation-free.
