Description

The Scoot Boot Classic Hoof Boot is the latest innovation in horse boots technology. Scoot Boot believe their boots will be far superior to any other hoof boot on the market, due to its simplicity and ease of fit. Unlike other horse hoof boots, the Scoot Boot will not get soggy, heavy or wet when riding through muddy and wet terrain. This is because the Scoot Boot is constructed of very strong thermoplastic urethane (TPU) as well as the securing straps, which gives the Scoot Boot superb strength to stand up to all types of terrain that you and your horse may ride over.

For a small fee, we are now offering to swap the Black Front Straps and Pastern Straps on your Scoot Boots for a different colour! If swapping to a colour, the Black straps are not included.

Available in a range of sizes, Scoot Boots are stylish and adaptable beyond any other hoof boots presently on the market.

If you are hiring boots, you are agreeing to our Boot Hire Terms & Conditions

Not sure if you need the Classic, Adjust or TheraRide Model?

With more models available, it’s natural to wonder if newer means better. Scoot Boot are seeing a trend where some riders are selecting TheraRide, believing it’s an upgraded version of the Scootboot Classic. However, it's important to know that the TheraRide isn’t an improvement, it’s a solution for specific needs.

Scootboot Classic → For healthy hooves and everyday riding. Lightweight, flexible, and designed for natural movement. If the hoof is healthy and within standard shapes, the Classic is the best choice.

Scootboot Adjust For hooves with fitting challenges, underrun heels or asymmetry. Adds extra securement points and adjustability while keeping the proven Classic design principles. If the hoof needs fitting adjustments due to conformation, the Adjust is ideal.

Scootboot TheraRide → For horses in rehabilitation or needing extra support. Heavier, with built-in padding and wedges. Ideal for therapy, not necessarily for performance or casual riding unless extra support is truly needed. If the horse needs rehabilitation support, then TheraRide is the right model.

    Great Boots

Published by Fenella on 3rd Jun 2021

Order these after consulting with Hoof Boutique, who were super helpful. Really helped with my decision on which boots to buy. Arrived super fast and east to fit (struggle a wee bit with front straps but using the hoof pick helps) and remove on hairy legged cob with big feet - even when muddy and wet! No problems so far and horse seems really happy with them too, it was like I had a new horse!

Primitive fitting mechanism; do not fit all hooves

Published by Ellen Klaveness on 27th May 2021

The two positive sides of Scoot boots are sole durability and the fact they do not get wet, but there is almost zero room for adjustability in the fitting mechanism. Heel height cannot be adjusted, and because of the way the boot is secured there is great potential for rubs and chafing. This means they fit a very specific type of hoof with little leeway. I have lost them several times in wet terrain and at higher speeds, even with mud straps. Scoots are a far better choice than e.g. Cavallo, but other brands like Flex and Renegade have much better adjustability and ergonomic design. Hi Ellen, thank you for taking the time to leave this review. If the Scoot Boot suits a horses hoof then they can be a very quick and easy boot to put on and take off and very secure on. When properly sized and fitted, they should stay on well and if they are coming off then it is likely due to the fit not being quite right. There are many ways to tweak the fit of the Scoot Boot if necessary, with pads, shims, gaiters, EVA padding, heat fitting (as a last resort). There are many horses where the Scoot Boot fits well but the Flex Boot or Renegade Viper may not - it all depends on the hoof size and shape. We are always happy to help with boot choice, sizing and fit. The Hoof Bootique Team

    Scoot boots

Love these boots, they are such a well made simple idea that has no fuss and are the best boots that I have used. This is my second pair of scoot boots and I have used cavello and easy boots as well but love the scoot boots because they do not rub or get heavy when wet.

    Scoot Boots

I love these boots almost as much as my horse. They are lightweight, tough and for the first time they fit her really well. I have previously tried Cavallos but now that we have Scoots there is no turning back.

    Scoot boots

I and more importantly my horse Dyson love these boots! Perfect fit with the help from Liz at hoof boot boutique. I emailed Liz at hbb and gave her all the information on my horse as he has arthritis, conformation not so good either, and a massive over track. Sent pics of all his feet. Liz advise on what type of boots would suit him and his condition best, I decided on the scoots for him! So happy with them definitely the boots for him and fit like a glove. I would highly recommend Hoof boot boutique

    Scoot boots

So far so good. They are a bit of a fiddle to put on if your horse is fidgety but not impossible and so far they have stayed put. My mare is striding out in them which is great news and they have not rubbed her although we are starting using them for short periods.
