Equisalt PURE - Salt Lick
Equisalt Pure is a salt lick from natural rock salt to provide the horse’s daily salt requirements and maintain a healthy salt balance.
Salt is not contained in the natural diet and needs to be available daily to ensure that basic needs are fulfilled. All horses need salt, regardless of whether they are relaxing or doing hard work. However, the requirement varies widely.
For a horse at rest, a salt lick is usually enough to cover the daily requirement, while horses doing hard work need additional salt either in the feed or as saline solution.
The horse regulates its own salt and fluid balance when it has free access to a salt lick and water. Excess salt is secreted in the urine.
Equisalt ENRICHED - Salt Lick
Equisalt Enriched is a salt lick made from natural rock salt enriched to promote health and balance. The salt lick contains minerals and trace elements important for the horse’s physiology and well-being.
Contains approved additives and are approved as a feed additive.
Sodium is important for the body fluid volume equilibrium and is supplemented by free access to salt lick (NaCl). Sodium is not included in the natural diet and needs to be available daily to ensure that basic needs are fulfilled.
Minerals and trace element like zinc, manganese, copper, iodine, selenium, and cobalt are important in many cellular mechanisms. They are crucial for the enzyme functionality and affects many processes in the cellular maintenance.
