Description

The Scoot Boot Classic Hoof Boot is the latest innovation in horse boots technology. Scoot Boot believe their boots will be far superior to any other hoof boot on the market, due to its simplicity and ease of fit. Unlike other horse hoof boots, the Scoot Boot will not get soggy, heavy or wet when riding through muddy and wet terrain. This is because the Scoot Boot is constructed of very strong thermoplastic urethane (TPU) as well as the securing straps, which gives the Scoot Boot superb strength to stand up to all types of terrain that you and your horse may ride over.

For a small fee, we are now offering to swap the Black Front Straps and Pastern Straps on your Scoot Boots for a different colour! If swapping to a colour, the Black straps are not included.

Available in a range of sizes, Scoot Boots are stylish and adaptable beyond any other hoof boots presently on the market.

If you are hiring boots, you are agreeing to our Boot Hire Terms & Conditions

Not sure if you need the Classic, Adjust or TheraRide Model?

With more models available, it’s natural to wonder if newer means better. Scoot Boot are seeing a trend where some riders are selecting TheraRide, believing it’s an upgraded version of the Scootboot Classic. However, it's important to know that the TheraRide isn’t an improvement, it’s a solution for specific needs.

Scootboot Classic → For healthy hooves and everyday riding. Lightweight, flexible, and designed for natural movement. If the hoof is healthy and within standard shapes, the Classic is the best choice.

Scootboot Adjust For hooves with fitting challenges, underrun heels or asymmetry. Adds extra securement points and adjustability while keeping the proven Classic design principles. If the hoof needs fitting adjustments due to conformation, the Adjust is ideal.

Scootboot TheraRide → For horses in rehabilitation or needing extra support. Heavier, with built-in padding and wedges. Ideal for therapy, not necessarily for performance or casual riding unless extra support is truly needed. If the horse needs rehabilitation support, then TheraRide is the right model.

    Scoot Boots

Published by Karen Harvey on 25th Mar 2022

Another purchase of Scoots for my second pony. I was so happy with hoof bootiques service and product provided first time around that I came back for more. I would highly recommend anyone considering putting their horses in hoof boots as opposed to shoeing to contact Liz or check out hoof bootique advice for measuring etc on their website and take advantage of the fitkit hire service they offer. Nothing is too much trouble for this company.

Great if your horse is not between sizes

Published by Mel Randall on 15th Mar 2022

I love the look and design of this boot, particularly as they do not get soggy and heavy in wet weather. They are light and easy to clean. BUT the back part is very unforgiving on the heel bulbs. I did seek advice on sizing, I.e. sent HB photos and measurements, and hired the fit kit but unless you have used these before, it is hard to be sure you are ordering the correct size. Scoot Boots recommend the boot being very snug on the initial fit as they stretch and I had the recommended one finger gap at the back. But my pony showed some discomfort by moving her foot up and down and then I could not get near her with them. Hoof Boutique said it sounds like they were too tight but I could not get photos as she was in discomfort and I had to get them off, which was not easy after she had taken a dislike to them! She is a sensitive mare who had a rough start in life and once she decides she does not like something that is it! Anyway, as she had moved in them and stamped her foot I was not able to return them to Hoof Boutique. I would recommend anyone trying them for the first time to hire them first as now I am stuck with boots I can not use and I am out of pocket. As a side note, the new style has gaps at the side and I could see them filling with dirt and grit too. Great concept but I can not recommend them. - Hi Mel, Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. It is a shame the Scoot Boot did not work out for your mare as they can be a great hoof boot option, but they are not going to be right for all horses. It is always difficult for us to give advice when we are not able to see photos of the boots or the Fit Kit on the hooves, as we are then guessing a little at the fit. It is advisable to hire hoof boots from us first, especially if you are not sure how your horse will take to them. We did offer in this case to take the boots back but as a retrospective hire, or to advertise them on our 2nd hand page for no fee (there is usually a £5 fee per advert) so we always try to be as helpful and flexible as possible. Many thanks, The Hoof Bootique Team

Definitely worth chatting to Hoof bootique to get advice first.

Excellent that you can order a series of different size shells at once to try on. The shells you try are not brand new which is a great idea. I recommend hoof bootique after trying some other saddlery companies who I was not impressed with, and whose customer service was driven very quickly by money and legalities once you ordered boots to try for size which I was not expecting at all. At hoof bootique you get personalised service, and friendly advice. The boots have worked a treat. We have order mud straps as well that add extra strength. We ended up with a size 2 so that with a hoof pick you can get a tight enough fit. Seem to working a treat at the moment.

Fitting and purchase of Scoot boots

As ever, a huge thanks to Liz for helping me find the right boots for my horse. I have a hoof bootique wardrobe! I needed a pair of close fitting hind boots which would deal with moorland terrain. Delighted with the service and the boots.

Scoot boots and getting the right size

Published by Philip on 25th Jan 2022

Great boots. It can be a real hassle getting the right size. We tried another company and they literally refused to pay for the boots to be returns as they had a tiny bit of scuffing in simply because we tried them on. Hoof boutique send out a selection of boots that are second hand and its not an issue. So you can try several sizes on. I would definitely suggest doing it this way. The boots now fit really well and are tight. We also bought mid straps to keep them strong. Our horse is fine with them and they boots are durable
