Description

What are Endurance Gaiters?

Endurance Gaiters are made out of neoprene and provide protection for the lower back of the pastern and rear coronet area for sensitive skinned horses and for endurance riders travelling excessive distances. Best when combined with Mud Straps for ultimate support.

Do I need to glue my Endurance Gaiter?

Only if you’re riding long distances over difficult terrain or if you find that the gaiter becomes dislodged when riding.

What size do I need?

Small Endurance Gaiter Pack - fits Scoot boot size 0 to size 2
Medium Endurance Gaiter Pack - fits Scoot boot size 3 to size 5
Large Endurance Gaiter Pack - fits Scoot boot size 6 to size 9
X-Large Endurance Gaiter Pack - fits Scoot boot size 10 & 11

Measurements

To help with sizing, we have measured the Endurance Gaiters at four different points, please find the details below:

Small - Width of upper neoprene (295mm), Width of lower neoprene (128mm), Width of pad (123mm), Height from centre (233mm)

Medium - Width of upper neoprene (320mm), Width of lower neoprene (135mm), Width of pad (123mm), Height from centre (233mm)

Large - Width of upper neoprene (335mm), Width of lower neoprene (137mm), Width of pad (123mm), Height from centre (246mm).

X- Large - Width of upper neoprene (376mm), Width of lower neoprene (146mm), Width of pad (124mm), Height from centre (248mm).

What is included?

The Endurance Gaiter Pack includes one pair of neoprene Endurance Gaiters.

    I have not tried these ones yet but I have some for my other horse. From hoof bootique. I like them as they make the boots fit when they are slightly too big. And fit nicely round heel bulbs

    I bought the endurance gaiters on recommendation from Liz as my mare is a bit of an in-betweeny with regards to fitting, so they are slightly loose when shes trimmed but fit tighter after a couple of weeks, so the gaiters take up the extra room after the initial trim.

    Endurance gaiters velcro unfastens very easily during rides

    Very happy with the Scoot Boots, but had a few problems with boot coming off in mud, so tried these new endurance gaiters on all 4 feet, bought in July 2021. During several trail rides, the velcro became unfastened on various feet (especially when wet or in longer vegetation) and flapped about behind the hoof. Had to get off and wrap baler twine round them to keep from coming undone. Eventually the front ones came loose during a canter up a grassy field and my horse stepped on it and tore half of it off, leaving the remainder unsecurable and unusable. Very dangerous really, so have stopped using them. completely as am worried they might be stepped on again and cause an accident. Very disappointed with the product. However, this is no reflection on Hoof Boutique, as they were very helpful during my purchase of rear Scoots. --- Hi Jules, Thank you for your feedback on this product.     Prevented rubbing and improved boot fit

    I have been using scoot boots happily for a few years but they had started rubbing near the horses heels where the brass screw attaches the straps. These gaiters solved the problem, were easy to fit and seemed to improve the fit generally. Well worth using these,I plan to buy another pair so I can rotate washing/drying of gaiters, though I found the neoprene dries quickly.

    Easy to put on and stayed in place. Protected rub areas. One very happy rider and pony. ☺️

    I would give 5 stars but only used once so far as only had them a couple of days and I need to get used to putting them on. They fit well and totally protect the coronet area. I will be ordering a pair for the hinds as well in the new year..
